-- NEW IN --
Apart from This - In Gloom 12" lp £9.50 some cracking post hardcore going on right here. crunchy and emotional, more than a bit poppy at times mind you. jimmy / knapsack / sdre / cheesey stuff.
Bad Vision - s/t 12" lp £9.00 catchy and rocking garage punk from australia in the jay reatard fashion.
Canadian Rifle - Deep Ends 12" lp £10.00 another fine LP from these Chicagoan punk rockers. melodic and brash, clearly they enjoy a bit of Leatherface and also their own city's punk heritage.
Christie Front Drive - s/t 12" lp £11.00 RESTOCK the first 12" from CFD, finally repressed. still emo after all these years.
Dead Friends - s/t 12" lp £8.00 RESTOCK flailing hc punk somewhere between assfactor and born against. argmffffff i have a mouth full of marbles! this smokes.
Deep Heat - New Design 10" £9.00 poison city is a consistently impressive label from australia but i don't know if many of you lot here in the UK have cottoned on yet. anything i have stocked from them is worth checking out. this 10" is no different. energetic and powerful punk with elements of garage and post, and damn catchy songs too.
Dream Caste - A Calmer Room tape £4.00 these californian emos are right on the money. this is intense, freak out emotion, very 90s, brings to mind all kinds of good bands without specifically sounding like one. at it's best when frantic. a bit all over the place and unfocused, but it's a demo tape, so you cut them some slack. joe c reckons it's a bit vida blue, i think he nailed it.
Empire! Empire! / Rika - split 7" £3.50 RESTOCK two twinkly autumnal bands, one record!
Flechette - s/t 12" lp £9.00 this one is from 2011 but didn't cross my radar at the time. pretty damn good post hardcore full of bite and drive (like jehu), and melody. well worthy of your consideration especially if you liked what i distroed in the mid 2000s.
For Want Of - s/t : tape £3.00 super chaotic and twiddly screamo.
Glass Hits - Better Never Than Late 12" lp £10.00 Glass Hits - Better Never Than Late 12" lpgrooving and thrusting post-hardcore. bit of rye coalition, bit of drive like jehu, bit of sass and rock and roll. exciting lp
Handwritings - Boring, Dumb + Fine : tape £4.00 8 songs of bouncy emo / indie pop.
Hoax - s/t 12" lp £10.00 debut lp of gnarly mid tempo hardcore. lavish attention paid to the packaging, 6 large poster inserts are contained within.
Late Bloomer - s/t 12" lp £9.00 some nice crunchy indie rock going on here.
Locktender / Coma Regalia / Oaken / Wounded Knee 12" £8.00 4 bands doing different screamo / hardcore things.
Lord Snow - Solitude 12" lp £9.00 still hankering about the emotional outpourings of screamo? Lord Snow totally know what they are up to, this is messy and furious. great vocals and delightfully chaotic. outside of ampere i have not heard it done this well in a very long time.
the Marked Men - Ghosts 12" lp £8.00 RESTOCK so long, and thanks for all the tunes.
Mars to Stay - the Red Door 7" £3.00 RESTOCK spaced out slow jams for hungover mornings and late night star gazing.
MNWA - Joyless 7" £4.00 this is that early 2000s screamo stuff, all messy and falling around yelling in a frenzy. if you dig that style, you will be into this i reckon. sloppy and exciting. very short songs.
No Tongue - Body - Mind 7" £4.00 melodic yet slightly unhinged hardcore punk. this is unpredictable and pretty fresh sounding, i can't come up with any lazy comparisons, that's for sure. check it out if you're feeling adventurous.
Personnel - s/t 7" £4.00 herky jerky post punk shenanigans. for those that miss hygiene. those pangs will be more than satisfied.
Rika / Everton - split 12" lp £9.00 RESTOCK rika is awesome, autumnal, twinkly indie emo that will appeal to fans of mineral and arrows. everton is more rocky, but should appeal to fans of mineral and empire! empire!
Rika - How To Draw A River 12" lp £10.00 Rika deliver their first full length, moving away slightly from the heavy Mineral influence of before into more indie rock territory. impressive record.
Secret Smoker - Terminal Architecture 12" lp £9.00 RESTOCK don't get many bands reaching back into the mid 90s so make the most of it when you hear one. definite vibes of stuff like amber inn mixed with life at these speeds and REDS. heard very little about this band to date, hopefully that will change as this album has some cracking songs.
Shores - Coup De Grace 12" lp £9.00 sad indie, a la bands like bedhead and seam. rocking and slow. bit of both. best thing on no idea in yonks.
Sleep Kit - demo : tape £4.00 this is a seriously good introduction to this german emo band, a mix of melody, shouting and singing, like a more emo small brown bike perhaps? sound stuff.
Spells - Double Cassingle : tape £3.50 4 songs of snotty garage punk, with a bit of a hot snakes grit in there.
Without Maps - Where the Wires Ran 10" £6.00 intense post hardcore with lots of screaming and riffing. reminds me of hot cross.
Wits End - s/t 7" £3.00 RESTOCK the return of norwaymo! 4 songs of rather fine emo evoking yaphet kotto and mid 90s classics like mainspring. melodic and sorrowful. should do a split 12" with human hands. ex-catena collapse! emo is dead. forthcoming split 7" with perfect future on sncl, amongst others.
